No Sew Tutu Tutorial

Supplies Needed:
Tulle
Elastic
Scissors
Ruler
Coffee Can (or something round, your leg, full paper towel roll, ect.)

Directions:
1.  Measure the waist and cut elastic 3” shorter.
Example:  If the waist is 20” you will want to cut your elastic at 17”

10-12 Large   26-28”             23-25”

2.  Sew elastic ends together.  You can do this by hand or machine.
I used a ZigZag stich on mine
3.  Measure from the waist to where you want the tutu to end and then double it.
Example:  If you want the length to be 13”, you will need to cut the tulle 26”

4.  Pull the elastic over your coffee can, or whatever round object you choose.

5.  Tying the Knot!  I am sure you can find tons of ways online to tie tulle on.  I just played with it until I found something I liked.  Here is what I came up with, a simple slip knot (shown above).
1-Gather in the middle    2-Slip under the elastic    3-Pull through loop    4-Tighten

6.  Continue tying all the way around in whatever pattern you choose.  I choice pink, white, pink white.
Tighten as light or tight as you want. Once again, play with it!  I did the whole thing lightly at first…

7.  Then I decided I didn’t like the loose look and tightened it up…
